I was so prepared for the potential of power going out with this storm. I ran the generator yesterday (after draining the carburetor and cleaning it out), gassed it up with plenty of extra gas at the ready, and had it all staged and ready to go. I had all batteries and wireless chargers charged up, plans in place for keeping as warm as possible for a few days, etc. In the grand scheme of things, I'm really glad I didn't need to put any of that plan into action, but it *is* a little bit of a bummer that I couldn't at least have seen some of that that hard prep work put to good use!

With progged wind gusts to 30 mph most of the day tomorrow, there's a non-zero chance of losing power.  Would've been a lot more dicey with larger ZR accretions from this storm, but certain areas around here lose power when someone sneezes.

how are folks' streets?  We got plows all day so our streets are actually pretty clear (we live on a street corner)

Not good at all here in the sticks. My brother down in Ellicott city said his neighborhood hasn’t even been touched since last nights salting

I live on Harvard St in Adams Morgan and as of a couple hours ago it hadnt been touched probably since early morning.  There was a solid 4 inches of snow/sleet/zr glaze on the road

My neighborhood was plowed 3-4 times, but my cul-de-sac was last done at about 2:00 pm. Went out with the dog a little bit ago and my street was a solid pack of 1.5-2” of sleet.

The secondary roads were supposedly worked over pretty good, but as of about 4:00 pm the one nearest me was still in pretty bad shape.
