Man that sleet line came charging north. I still think it makes all the way to Blue Mountain, perhaps gets into the southern Poconos. Never doubt a still primary low coming up the Appalachians. Always a changeover, no matter what the surface temps are.

Still snow in Royersford. Haven’t measured but looks like at least the 7 to 8” being reported by others. Good storm with very fine snow.

I had mentioned how the '96 storm held in the low 20s (IIRC ~23F) through the duration (and this is much colder).  I also used to have co-workers from Chicago who used to pooh-pooh our whining about shoveling back then because they could just get a regular broom to brush off the car and use a leaf blower to blow the stuff off the walks.  Now 30 years later, they have learned what "wet snow" is like. 

I waited too long to use the blower, the snow is too deep. The plows already made one pass down the street, so I shoveled a path to the car and dug out the base of the driveway. I don’t care if it’s a “light, fluffy” snow. If there’s enough of it, it’s a workout. 
 

Not seeing any IP yet, but the snow did have that sleety sound to it.

Yup a weekend and it ended the day before my birthday.  Did a birthday Jeb Walk (clear and sunny) down the middle of the plowed street along the side of my apartment building, right to the supermarket to get the usual "french toast supplies".  There were 6ft plowed mounds on either side of the street with a "path" carved through them near intersections.

The NAM had been showing this run after run the past couple days. All bubbling up from the south and brushing the area. Paul even posted some sleet maps.

Measured 8.25" on my front step. Starting to sound a little plinky out there, and the flakes are getting larger. Maybe starting to warm up slightly, up from 9 to 9.8°F and 7.3°F DP.

Sleet started about ~1.5 hours ago and temperatures haven't waivered much. Still 15.6F. Northerly wind.

Different story in the ACY area, who are above freezing now.

Yea but winds have shifted NW south of Ocean City Md.  

Ocean City Md gusting to 40 out of the east. All surface suppose east aloft.
