So in reality 0.5 to 1 inch but they will not count it.

The precipitation started as light rain but went over to snow in Central Park with the temperature dropping to freezing. There very likely was an accumulation and that will be reported early this afternoon.

Steady snow back after a 1hr or so lull. No echoes on radar. Its obviously not picking up precipitation well. 1.5" today. 3.5" 2 day total and 14.5" ytd. Should be a fun afternoon evening

It's snowing lightly here, but you'd think it was much heavier based on the visibility.  Very cool vibe with the light snow and fog and everything plastered with snow.

NWS forecast looks good, but there could be a little extra excitement this evening as the column cools a little more.

Maybe like 4" for storm total considering they probably got at least some measurable snowfall this morning. South shore has yet to start though with the accumulation. Snow started back up here in north Queens but likely white rain for many. Will need at least moderate snowfall rates this evening when sun goes down to make up for that, especially close to the coast.

100% wrong on the no snow on the SS. 
 

however I agree that for most of the island, minus the twin forks, it’s going to be mostly rain. Rates not enough to overcome the warm

Gotcha yeah I thought he meant busted low snowfall, but if its a positive bust at 2.0 (i.e. thought would be less) makes sense.

CPK was 32 during this morning's snow so unless they fail to measure correctly will have 0.5 to 1 inch already and only need another 1.0 to 1.5 to reach the 2 to 4 forecasted.

You must be slightly more north than where I am. Its been snowing nonstop where I am in Bergen county. I would assume within the next hour radar fills in and youll see snow again

NYC is on the northern edge of the coastal.  This means the heaviest of precipitation will remain offshore.  The precip shield is moving north/northeast and is somewhat irregular in pattern.  A wider swath will move into the area, generally from the south at around 2-3PM today.  Maybe if we all cross our fingers, we could end up getting another 3-5"???
