CAPE
We we are close enough for snowfall maps to be useful given the strong signal for a storm across guidance.

CMC showed how just a little more amped storm will slam those mids over top and there is more mix. It's like roles reversed when back in the day the euro would hold things back and GFS went ham. Now the gfs is laggy with pieces. Topsy turvy world. But there is a storm. Next 5 days will be hell as everyone loses their shit run to run when jack zones shift. I'll just aim for 4" and be happy with whatever.

Now I get excited for snow not just to scratch my own itch, but to share those special moments with my kids. 10 2

I was in 10th grade for the incredible February 2010 and genuinely one of the biggest regrets of my life to this point was not capturing enough memories from it. I have no pictures. Even 2016 to a certain extent. I have a few pictures from that, but nothing compared to what I’d have now if an event like that happened. About 6 years ago I started a weather journal where I write every little detail from events I’d like to remember later in my life. I also take an obnoxious amount of pictures and videos whenever there’s any winter event. Unfortunately we haven’t had any to write home about since I started that, but I will not miss the mark the next opportunity we get!

That's wild (and presumably helpful when there's that much of it). 1
Bob Chill
I got 30" in Rockville 2016. Rode the edge of the dryslot and it was puking for hours. I'll never forget that one.

I am guessing some kind of eddy in the wind causes it. But when it comes to shoveling I would prefer if it stayed on the roof.
nj2va
I got stuck in the subsidence/dry slot for like 5-6 hours between the WAA and CCB but still got about 22” in 2016. That was a fun storm.

The wind does some cool things.

I lived in Olney during the 2016 blizzardUnreal storm. There is a fully buried car in front of the second car in the left. 37” with 6-8 foot drifts. Amazing . 2
