That was a once in a generation event, we’re more likely to see another 2003/1996/2016 before that.

yeah after the second storm, we had like 4' of snow on the ground in Philly.  Unreal.

I’ll say the same. I still have photos of myself with my dad standing next to 8 ft snow drifts by our house after the blizzard of 96.

Now I get excited for snow not just to scratch my own itch, but to share those special moments with my kids.

I've been waiting so long to get a snowstorm man. I barely even remember 2016 so I need this as it'll be my first real storm memory.

I was in 10th grade for the incredible February 2010 and genuinely one of the biggest regrets of my life to this point was not capturing enough memories from it. I have no pictures. 

Even 2016 to a certain extent. I have a few pictures from that, but nothing compared to what I’d have now if an event like that happened. About 6 years ago I started a weather journal where I write every little detail from events I’d like to remember later in my life. I also take an obnoxious amount of pictures and videos whenever there’s any winter event. Unfortunately we haven’t had any to write home about since I started that, but I will not miss the mark the next opportunity we get!

Wow, was the wind blowing the snow off roofs? That's wild (and presumably helpful when there's that much of it).

I got 30" in Rockville 2016. Rode the edge of the dryslot and it was puking for hours. I'll never forget that one.

Yep. Blowing around everywhere. Snow drifts always amaze me the most about big storms. What causes them to form where they do. I am guessing some kind of eddy in the wind causes it. But when it comes to shoveling I would prefer if it stayed on the roof.

I got stuck in the subsidence/dry slot for like 5-6 hours between the WAA and CCB but still got about 22” in 2016.  That was a fun storm.

I always found it amazing to get a huge storm with 10' drifts then have a patch adjacent where there is bare ground. The wind does some cool things.

I lived in Olney during the 2016 blizzard

Unreal storm. There is a fully buried car in front of the second car in the left. 37” with 6-8 foot drifts. Amazing
