Per mPING mixed precip or sleet over EPA from about Stroudsburg south to about Landsdale area in PA.  Even mixed precip over parts of Warren County NJ.

That’s pretty early I think, those places were supposed to thump for a few hours and then have mainly sleet or freezing rain for the rest of the night, but I didn’t think they would have sleet so early

Lets give it a couple of hours to see what happens but I agree surprised parts of Warren County NJ and Stroudsburg, PA area are mixed at the moment.

No thump here.  This will be a mixed bag all night in eastern PA.  Reports of sleet and freezing rain in my area currently.  Roads have become slippery and ice covered quickly.

The radar has that shredded look I mentioned in that area. Warm air has an easier time advancing in the mid levels when you can't get sustained lift and precip rates.

...SNOW OVERSPREADING THE AREA...

HAZARDS...Snow will overspread the area through 530pm, with visibilities dropping to 1 mile or less. Untreated roadways will likely become snow covered, particularly outside of the urban centers.

The “treated” roads got covered faster than the other roads. I think the brine froze lol

There were some runs of the RGEM and NAM that suggested those areas and even into middlesex could mix for the first two hours before heavier rates pushed the line back south and west

Yes.  We'll see if indeed that happens.  That is why I mentioned to give it a couple of hours.
