See. I asked the same question earlier and I got crickets. But I was also contemplating cleaning my measuring area, and thought maybe someone would give me a recommendation.

Yes, i was trying to upload a gif of the recent motion of the line for Blizz, but its not cooperating w/ Tapatalk from my phone… right now the line has crept north and isn’t really showing any retreat. Best hope would before 3km NAM depiction of a collapse back after 5 PM and maybe salvage a few hours of additional fluff.

Yes, wonderful resource! This has been my main tool tracking the storm all day. Looks like the sleet line pushed all the way north to almost Lewistown...

At 4:00pm here in Carlisle...with light sleet continuing to fall...the temperature is 12.4 degrees and the dewpoint is 9.1 degrees F.  During the past hour no pure snow was seen.  The light sleet was compacting upon itself, thus negating a measurable increase in the storm total, which remains at 6.9".  This is the first hour during the storm that no additional sleet and/or snow was measured.  Let's see what the next hour brings.  This will be the final hour of total daylight.

Latest HRRR says Harrisburg area could flip back to a little snow over the next couple of hours as the mix line sags south a bit.

I shoveled twice. The big problem was the plows came flying down my street twice which was nice to see. But both times they turned the area between the sidewalk and road into a concrete block of snow up to 15" high. So as if a 2 car driveway and 85' of sidewalk wasn't enough for this 67 y/o fart to shovel, I had to dig out this concrete block the width of a 2 car driveway and about 12' because it extended out into the road. I guess I should be happy I could do it at my age, but my lumbar back thinks I'm an idiot.

For what it's worth, the sleet/snow just about shut off completely here. Must be under a brief (hopefully) dry area.

Yet again it is pouring sleet here.  Pretty cool sleet event down this way, not often we experience this duration and intensity.  At this point I'm just going to shovel tomorrow morning.

CTP says once the precip shuts off, it’ll fill back in later with up to 3” snow.

I am now. I thought when we flipped back to snow, the coastal was taking over and the upper levels were crashing. Turns out it was only temporary. Question is, do we flip back to snow or are we stuck with sleet until the end?

I’ve picked up an additional 1.5 of mostly sleet & a little snow with the early afternoon mixing.

My Marysville combined total as of 4:30 pm is 9.0”

Moderate sleet is still ongoing.

Going back to happy hour NAM from Friday. Pretty darn close on the snow/sleet line.

It also gave kmdt a storm total qpf of .80. It's currently at 1.32 and climbing. The only model that has chance of being right regarding qpf is euro at 1.4". Still the other 12 models all had over 1" at least.

I remember back in the day the NAM used to always go crazy with qpf. What happened? It's gotten massacred this storm from Virginia through here

Still steady moderate snow up here, 5 degrees, with around 11 inches otg.  Was  a little surprised by the refreshed warning… calling for an additional 4-8!

It was dynamic cooling from heavy returns and it running up against an 850 -700mb wall
