Today and tomorrow look to be our last below normal temperature days for almost a week. This week will be a welcome but likely brief break from wintry temperatures. The warmest days look to be next Friday and Saturday with highs in the low to mid 50's. Those days also look to feature our next best chances of some rain. There is a slight chance of some light snow or flurries tomorrow morning.

I can't remember ever going through a winter where I had absolutely zero idea what the hell is going on because of the constant change in outlook.

I just saw an 8-14 day outlook posted by Warmanista Joe Snedeker showing AN temps Jan 11-17, where just yesterday I feel like I was reading that this week's warmup was expected to last just this week.

The hell happened?

The models keep changing the long range outlook.

What is it with the damn clouds every day? We had beautiful sunshine this morning and now it's overcast again.

Perhaps I'd not hate winter so much if we could get some real sunshine between storms/disturbances.

Same here what looked like a fairly nice day has turned to overcast around 9am.

Right but what the hell is causing this garbage consistency? I don't ever remember the models waffling this much.

My opinion on that may not be well received here. Things are not as they have been in the past. The oceans are vastly altered in temperature and currents. These new variables make the long range more unpredictable. Models are struggling with it.
