SomeguyfromTakomaPark
I’m fine with it being over if we don’t get anything else. We got a major winter storm and cold for a large part of winter. I’ll stick around watching until about Feb 15-20 then it’s time to get the cherry blossoms and daffodils loose in the bullpen.
RevWarReenactor
@ravensrule you call my posts "shit" but you will eat your words when you spend 10 days with a bunch of nonsense analysis tracking a cutter rainstorm. Whereas my simple climo analysis will verify. We will revist this next week

PrinceFrederickWx
Are we getting any more snow?
Jebman
Really do not want to admit this but usually in winter, when Texas starts getting about 20 degrees above normal, and the West Coast starts seeing storms, it usually signals a pattern change. Pacific is clearing its throat and will tend to marshal weather right across the CONUS. The pac don't care much about blocking, it's the gift that just keeps right on giving. Kind of like the Energizer Bunny. It just keeps going.......and going.........and going. I am literally beside myself with pure JOY over highs in the 80s and getting to dance around in a T-shirt in early February! When it gets like this in Feb lots of the ladies come out and kick back in full effect! Its gonnabe high time to turn out fine Texas brisket and beer! It's a great time to be alive! NO MORE ICE! NO MORE COLD!

People just don't know it yet. Moods are way too controlled by the latest model runs. When those change. Watch out. This is gonna end up on one of my Science Weather forums. Its TRULY EPIC! Amped
Well we got our one 2"+ event. That was a nice year of tracking. Sorry if you slept through it. Maybe we'll get another one next year.
Chris78
Another sub 20" season seems to be coming for Northern MD. 5 years in a row now for MBY. Worst stretch since records have been kept at hgr. (1899). Truly pathetic. I'll have to double check but my average the last 5 years has been 12" i believe. About 40% of climo.
IronTy
Getting to be that time of the season when a few stragglers cling on trying to find hope on each LR model run. They remind me of that girl at the very end of the college party trying to rally everybody for keg stands when the rest of the people have already gone home or passed out.

winter_warlock
You all may think I'm nuts or that I'm just wishing but... This has been a weird winter for us.. been very cold this winter with 1 good snow event.. I just got a feeling that were all gonna get 1 big one on the East Coast before winters over . Maybe late Feb, early March.
EastCoast NPZ
So it really looks like I will end up with just 7" (and half of that was sleet), even less snow than last year. And it's now a certainty that I end up with the 10th consecutive below normal snow winter in a row.
