Brian D Posted yesterday at 02:35 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:35 PM Last Summer month. Clear out the smoke, and it might just be a decent month. Pleasant temps to start, if not a little chilly in the a.m., at least up my way.
Jackstraw Posted yesterday at 04:27 PM Share Posted yesterday at 04:27 PM It was chilly here. Was 56 at 7am. Supposed to be a little cooler overnight maybe as low as 52-53. Loving the low dews more than anything. It can be 95 with a dew of 55, wouldn't bother me. Maybe we can keep those 70's dews away for awhile

CheeselandSkies Posted yesterday at 06:57 PM Share Posted yesterday at 06:57 PM The 18th will be 20 years since Wisconsin's state-record tornado outbreak occurred on a day when the 1630 UTC tornado outlook looked like this: The most notable was the Stoughton F3, to my knowledge still the most recent killer tornado in the MKX CWA and the Madison media market. It missed the house where I was living with my parents at the time by about 1/3 mile to the north (the fatality occurred on the north end of our subdivision). Also still the most recent truly long-track, photogenic, Plains-tier high end tornado in southern Wisconsin.

Crazy it has been 20 years since then. I was too young to remember it personally though. I can't and frankly don't even want to imagine what it will be like when we get another Stoughton or Oakfield level tornado in the Madison area, and we have had a couple close call setups where that would have been possible the last few years.

cyclone77
All the way down to 52 here this morning. Was a great night to have the windows open to let some of the smoke in. Pretty interesting tidbit from DVN regarding the recent stretch of high humidity... In fact, Moline, Dubuque, and Cedar Rapids saw their most consecutive days of 65+ degree dewpoints since 1997 with over 40 days in a row!

Torchageddon
Overperformed to 27C/80F with low dews and fresh air on Fri. For a few days now WUN has 30C/86F continuously maybe starting Mon if we exceed by 2, all the way til the last slot on Mon the 11th! What a magnificent stretch it'd be. When the wind picked up in the afternoon mixing down the smoke it literally smelled like campfires smoldering. Strong too. I went out back once to make sure my scrap wood pile wasn't burning lol
