My friend up in the Purchase has over 3 inches already, I'm pushing 2 so far and it is pouring again. The amount of flash flooding around the country over the past few weeks has been unreal. It doesn't just rain anymore, amounts are pushing what we would see for snowfall totals in the winter.

I'm beginning to have my suspicions. Confirmed to be on Cape Cod and possibly the South Shore. Not enough information to confirm for other parts of the state. The Lonestar ticks are pretty discernible from deer ticks and dog ticks. Obviously, it becomes a more tenuous situation if a nymph bites you because you might never see or feel it.
