Newark (interiors of NJ/se NYS/CT) Sun-Wed June 22-25 possibly hottest 3-4 day period this year (2025) with 2-4 100F+ days, possibly hottest June daily. NYC probably one 100 deg. HI exceeds 105 interior M-T June 23-24.

I don't consider 3 days of heat "longevity."  Much of this forum didn't reach 90 on Sunday due to the rain/clouds.  It has been a very hot 3 day stretch, no denying that.  To me a week of 90+ is longevity.   Like this for Philly.  If it wasn't for 1 day of 89 degrees, 1995 would have been 25 straight days.image.thumb.png.4bae1905737d5ee763fff7b99f207d20.png

it's the long heatwaves that cause all the deaths and power issues with the heat buildup in older building with poor air circulation and the strain on the power grid from days and days of high usage...while this stretch was impressive for the 3 days, it pales in comparision to some of the longer stretches like July 2013, August 2002 etc
