Fringed north and south by 1-2 miles within 2 hours. Impressive.

That sucks, often happens here.

The locals mentioned the C&D canal effect when we moved here 25 years ago.  I don't believe it, thinking simple bad luck and history of storm paths and boundaries.

.19  here last 3 hours, yet not too far away, maybe 10 miles .48 of rain. Crazy local amounts.

However,  more storms are forming with a destination of the upper Eastern Shore.

Nothing here over the last couple days. Wasn't really expecting anything based on the the CAMs depiction over multiple runs.

What a hilariously timed pouring curtain of rain that was - started about the second I stepped off the light rail and poured on me for my 3 block walk over to the office - then pretty much stopped as I made it to my building. I was definitely unprepared and had left my umbrella at home. Oops. Commuter fail.

Been lucky here with random and small areas of rain showers flying around. I am looking forward to sunshine for many reasons, such as reduce tomato blight, reduce lawn fungus, less moss and mildew, and of course I simply feel better on sunny days, even if it is hot. So many bugs lately as well,  but one thing ( sorry more banter ) is the lack of bees in my garden, it is truly shocking compared to not too long ago. Very sad for the beneficial bee population.

My lawn always dies and I would love for the moss to completely take over lol. Its only a small area where I try to keep grass- the rest is mossed over. Probably going to plant a mix of clover, wildflowers, with maybe some grass in that area this Fall. White clover pretty much takes over anyway once the grass burns to hell, plus it might choke out the wild violet that has spread like crazy the last few years. Nearly unkillable- you can try to rip the roots out but no way to get them all and it continues to spread quickly.

Amazing how quick those storms popped up. Checked the radar 10 minutes before taking pictures of the moon and then while I was in the middle of the shoot I felt the gust front and had to scramble into the car. Basically went from 0 on radar to a strong line of storms hitting (with some hail but strangely no real thunder) in 20 minutes

It's been cloudy every morning for the past 3 months. I feel like i live alone the coast of California with June gloom. At least the wind isn't blowing 30-50 like usual.

When Mr. J and I first moved to LA back in ’99 we were introduced to June gloom. Was quite the experience for us after hearing from our friends it was always sunny.
