10.4 for a low here, still without a single digit low for the season. I forgot about the 10.1 low on 12/26 last night when I said may set a coldest of season temp this morning, the 10.1 still stands.

Despite the frustrations of this winter, I will hand it one thing. I have had snow cover since Jan 30 and this is by far the longest time I’ve experienced with some white on the ground.

Sun angle season in full effect.  Don’t even need a jacket outside with calm winds.

I was just sitting on my patio in the sun with a t-shirt on. Felt like spring.

34 and sunny. I say I hit 40 today.

Feels nice out on the deck with southern exposure.  33 here, but  if I stay up close to the house and out of the breeze, it kinda feels like it's close to 50. The sun angle is legit now.

I love it.  Beautiful out.  Don’t even have to bundle up the kids anymore.

DCA flatlined lol. Above 22 streak wasn’t even threatened. Going to tack on another 300+ days at least.

lol so predictable.  gonna start planting some palm trees at the entrance to DCA.

just to reiterate - it's looking likely that DCA will go 1,000+ days (at least) of no temp below 23F.  I would imagine even most gulf coast stations have recorded a temp that low in that time frame.

A seasonal low of 20-25 is plant hardiness zone 9a, which includes the cities of Jacksonville and Houston.  So far at least Houston has demolished us in the yearly min category.

When's the last time DCA went under 23?

Funny how the sun doesn't hit all the snowpack at a time. I'm down to 30 percent out front but still around 70 percent cover in the back. The street out front still has large patches of ice. Stubborn stuff. Temp at 37 now.

we hit 23 on Dec 26.

Nobody should ever wonder about why it doesn’t snow in dc anymore.  Plain and simple it’s not cold enough.  That’s such a pathetic seasonal low.

These tree branches and underbrush go glacial nearly every winter (except for the previous two winters, blah). White Plains, MD.
