[email protected] Posted February 21 Columbia, Md. 2/21 at 7:15am: temp down to 17.8, clear skies and almost calm winds at sunrise (beats previous seasonal low of 19.1).
EastCoast NPZ Posted February 21 8F for the low. Clear, calm, white, frozen. Beautiful morning. Wish this was what winter was always.
wxdude64 Posted February 21 10.4 for a low here, still without a single digit low for the season. I forgot about the 10.1 low on 12/26 last night when I said may set a coldest of season temp this morning, the 10.1 still stands.
losetoa6 Posted February 21 10 Didn't beat December's 9 but cold enough

WVclimo Posted February 21 Low of 9.8 here. Coldest morning since Feb 2, 2019
T. August Posted February 21 My Davis is wonky, but I’m good at reading rhododendron leaves, and it was probably low 20s for a low.
Pixee Posted February 21 Bottomed out at 24 last night. Currently 26, blue skies.
Clueless Posted February 21 27. Beautiful day! Mid 30s and sun definitely going to take its toll. Edit: maybe we get to 40 out here?
wxtrix Posted February 21 the coldest night of this winter with a low of 9.
MN Transplant Posted February 21 Matched the prior seasonal low at 20.8. 34 and sunny right now. The places in the shade that kept some sleet are sheets of ice.
SomeguyfromTakomaPark Posted February 21 Sun angle season in full effect. Don’t even need a jacket outside with calm winds.
ErinInTheSky Posted February 21 Despite the frustrations of this winter, I will hand it one thing. I have had snow cover since Jan 30 and this is by far the longest time I’ve experienced with some white on the ground.

CAPE Posted February 21 Just now, dailylurker said: I was just sitting on my patio in the sun with a t-shirt on. Felt like spring. 34 and sunny. I say I hit 40 today. Feels nice out on the deck with southern exposure. 33 here, but if I stay up close to the house and out of the breeze, it kinda feels like it's close to 50. The sun angle is legit now.

pazzo83 Posted February 21 just to reiterate - it's looking likely that DCA will go 1,000+ days (at least) of no temp below 23F. I would imagine even most gulf coast stations have recorded a temp that low in that time frame.

pazzo83 Posted February 21 A seasonal low of 20-25 is plant hardiness zone 9a, which includes the cities of Jacksonville and Houston. So far at least Houston has demolished us in the yearly min category.

Pixee Posted February 21 Funny how the sun doesn't hit all the snowpack at a time. I'm down to 30 percent out front but still around 70 percent cover in the back. The street out front still has large patches of ice. Stubborn stuff. Temp at 37 now.
