It's not even 4 o'clock. Last light is at like 6:30.

Yeah, but the angle the sun is striking is getting pretty low, which is what hampers accumulations.

So happy for everyone in southern Wake County because you guys were due but what’s going on with northern Wake County? Still raining? Out of the country so I’m lurking from a distance!

It is snowing in Wake Forest now.  Starting to get a slushy accumulation on elevated surfaces.  35 degrees.

It's got to be close in the upstate. this station near paris mountain is only 800 feet or so higher than greenville and it's 31.

I live around 1100 feet in Elevation on the side of Paris mtn.

The sleet begin to mix here around 11am

Then changed to snow around 1pm.

Been snow since but its so warm it melts on contact of everything.

Occasionally when heavier rates come down it will build up a lil but once it slows down it melts off.

Still mixing here in SW Durham.  Need it to changeover sometime soon.  It’s starting to get dark which should help accumulations.

All snow on the Duke campus

Dang at the returns coming out of GA into the Upstate!!

Bright banding, melting snowflakes.  I know Kenny, Kenny would not fall for that. I am concerned who has access to his account.

Happy to!  It is ripping right now.  Truly starting to accumulate on elevated surfaces and grass.  Yard is rapidly whitening.  34, 33.

Am I seeing things, or are returns starting to diminish a bit as they cross out of SC? Dryslotting starting to occur for WNC?

Stratospheric gravity wave evident on 1 min G16 imagery inducing trop folding event across North Georgia.  Big potential developing.
