January 18-19 SWFE Obs

Just over 4 inches. Pretty satisfied with the event. Started slow but had a pretty nice finish. Still snowing lightly but looks like the meaningful stuff is done...maybe another couple tenths depending on what little batches try to redevelop in the next 30-60 min.

Down to -SN now with big flakes.  Submitted 5" to NWS although might end up slightly more.  Fun storm, nice to walk around in +SN with doggo.

It's pretty amazing the consistency of snow totals along and N of RT 2 with SWFE no matter how weak or strong they are.  Right @40/70 Benchmark?

If anyone has any totals for CT, final totals that were measured (not estimated) please send em my way as i will be making a map. thanks in advance.

looking at the reports it seems to be 3-5 statewide with 1-3 SE corner.

Models and NWS did ok along the RT 2 corridor although NWS BOX was a bit too bullish.  Perhaps qpf verified but totals a little under forecast.
