I think about what a given outcome will look like (independent of models), and see if that starts to show up in the guidance. That’s what this 12z GFS run was for me. When things look colder and snowy, he looks for warmer, rainy scenarios. Tip does the same thing to varying degrees . Although what is interesting to note is it looks like on both the GFS/NAM the most favorable location for ulvl divergence is across New England...this would certainly favor a scenario like the GFS I suppose.
