Total positive snow depth change. Been interesting not posting and watching the super melts. Perhaps the best sign any snowlover in Ct can have is to have Kevin cancel winter Feb 11th. In case anyone didn't look all LR modeling and super Ens indicate we are entering a snowy period. Just keep melting its entertainment

I lol'd earlier this AM with the melt and towel tossing post.

I'd await King Euro before thinking white vs wet... baby steps, but still miles to go

Looked like the 06z Op run was heading in that direction as well as the 06z EPS

That's why we like to get the shortwaves onshore. The GFS speeds up that southern streamer and keeps it potent right across the country. Previous runs lagged it back and had it get absorbed a bit by the trailing pacific ULL and then dampened downstream. Now we get the northern stream fropa and an attempt at getting the southern streamer up here. That's what I thought we had to have happen last night. I mean, this is still pretty much a crap solution, but congrats to those who want a colder rain. But at least there's a potential there to back something bigger and whiter into the region after a little CAA.

A high near 40 and then a FROPA. If we can get that whole thing to dig just a little south of us, then it might get interesting.

Man what a crazy 24 hour change. It’s almost like a fropa on the euro.

That cutter went by the wayside in a hurry, Not much qpf but what there is looks to stay frozen up here.

We are very close to a major change in our fortunes...

I'm in a good mood.   Nothing like a nice storm and then a cutter to take it away a few days later.  Rather have a warm storm first.  At least now my 10" will stick around  (not that I need more).  Hopefully the trend will continue to be better for those of you down south

All being driven by Scott's melting and throwing in the towel on the winter.

Maybe we should keep being negative, and we get more snow. :D

Nice melt.  It’s not like you haven’t had tons of snow I the past 20 years....

That was the snowiest euro run in quite some time...

He’s been in CT for just several years now. I think he’s to blame for our lack of >16” events here.

I will accept the solution with the least QPF possible.

I would also say it's quite a stretch to call it a "snowstorm" that the mid-Atlantic gets on that run next weekend. It's like 1-3".

Brian,  I have decided you have to move so that you can enjoy storms and QPF more.  Your north facing location on that hill is a no go.  Poor drainage.  Your not going to  be happy with this Euro clown map which includes tomorrows storm, weekend whatever and the 3rd system in about 9 days.  You'll never dry out.
