GFS/CMC both have about 3" for current system, except GFS repeats this on the 23rd., for 6" in 10 days, or 4X Normal. 06Z goes south of us on the 23rd. Month to date is -2.8. It won't get above 40 today. If this storm went south of us instead of cutting west we could have been talking about a historic mid April snow tonight. Damn so close. It's almost 40 degrees colder now than it was yesterday and that's not even factoring the 15-20 mph sustained winds. The Marine layer is something else, not even a high sun angle can alleviate it. Not a complete stretch if you asked me, being that many stations were within 5 - 7 degrees of it this past fri-sat. At some point this whole pattern may snap back in the other direction... Probably, it's not that hard to do however the base state will likely be BN until perhaps the next seasonal shift. If there's anything the 2010s have shown is that patterns love to stick around for months at a time.
