18Z GFS looks to be baking something....

Clipper looks better...further south. Don't think it will be a redeveloper to our south on this run, but def better than 12z. Might just be a good old fashioned 1-3 incher.

We should really be cursing out the shortwave that gives powderfreak upslope snow tomorrow...that one is really screwing the pooch for what could have been a big event on Monday...we have a very big PNA ridge out west that we could have put to use....but we get interference from that shortwave that comes through tomorrow.

At any rate, I wouldn't sell anything yet for Wednesday...Monday is a long shot but stranger things have happened. In addition to the storm that tauntonblizzard mentioned, we also had the Feb 5th storm last winter which went from fish food to a huge hit in very short lead time...inside of 60 hours.

Was the Feb 5 one that deal that looked kind of anafrontal and gradually morphed into a more consolidated low? Fluff job if I remember.

DT says this is a big rainer for east coast, even most of New England. Following weekend looks better.

He has honestly had the worst winter forecasting wise of his career. Every single thing he's posted .. opposite has happened. He's so into the voodoo indicies and if you forecast that way , you are going to struggle

Not to pile on, but his summer/Hurricane forecasts last summer were horrible too....he was worshiping the EURO back then and paid for it more than once...

He's a good met .. but he gets so wrapped up in the QBO and voodoo stuff. You can't forecast like that in a box . Weather doesn't work that way
