HimoorWx
39 at OWD this morning. That place is a pit. 38 there yesterday. We take the commuter rail from Westwood/Route 128 station and it is about the same there. Noticeably cooler when we get down to the platform from when we left home. Actually able to see my breath the last two mornings as we waited for the train.

CoastalWx
That's a real nice cold shot on the euro ensemble later next week. Pretty good drive of cold from HP building in, and it's got some bass with it as 850 temps are cool. That will take care of the bugs in a lot of areas. Damage In Tolland
Probably see a middle ground solution end up verifying ..No big cold like Euro and no big warm like GFS..Meet in middle = more of the same meh. Euro and ENS as usual probably too amplified in long range .. yawn
ORH_wxman
LOL where have we seen this before? gfs-ens_z500a_nhem_55.png Start retro-ing that low in the N PAC...hopefully ends up S of the central/west Aleutians by the time we reach winter. powderfreak
Thanks to more seasonal weather, monthly temperature departures are dropping but still quite similar through the elevations: MVL...+7.9 BTV...+7.8 Mount Mansfield Co-OP...+7.8 You've got Champlain Valley, mountain valley, and mountain peak all in a very similar range. weatherwiz
Wow...big differences between the Euro and GFS. That's some monster ridging on the Euro there
Damage In Tolland
Wow...big differences between the Euro and GFS. Typhoon Tip
tele spread suggests continental cooling in earnest ... plausible nearing the first week of October. don't know if that means synoptic snow in buffalo while the dps knocking on the door of 70 in boston like the euro, but tandem +pna/-nao is usually a recipe of negative temperature distribution with enhanced cyclogen parametrics. suck on dem big words mutha fockas! TalcottWx
In my movies I have a blizzard coming to Northeastern US, where the Gulf Stream just southeast of ACK the water temperatures are in the 90s during the month of January and with surface temps in the 10s and 20s that storm will get a ton of moisture transport as the surface warmth overrides the surface cold air.Dude what movies are you filming I'm concerned
moneypitmike
Not with no cold in Canada no. But yeah.. Freezes to the Downtown BOS next week!' Not with the water temps--I would highly doubt it. Then again, snow can't accumulate in October.
