not really.  It was obvious starting at 18z yesterday that a north and west trend had begun in ernest.

Yeah yesterday morning I changed the 7 day aorund 10 a.m. to have mostly cloudy with a rain icon in it. At 5 we talked about the offshore storm and said chances are the heaviest would miss but we'd have to watch it.

This morning we played it up and were talking about steadier/heavier rain being a possibility.

Who cares about last night?

People that only watch the wx at 5-6:00 pm..which is probably 50% of their viewers.

Everyone here had an idea..but on air this morning the on camera met said maybe a shower up to 95 but that would be it..and even that wasn't likely.

Anyway..the point is..it is going rain..and perhaps flood

Maybe HWW along the coast?

@BigJoeBastardi: Euro tapping warm water to feedback and develop mid atlantic mauler. 1-3 inch rains all the way to NYC. Gale force gusts coast Va to SNE

Assuming you mean high wind watch, that's 40 mph sustained for one hour or gusts to 58 mph. Gale force gusts would be 39-54 mph, so falling short of that criteria. Wind advisory, sure though.
