NorthShoreWx
Interesting isn't it? Also would like to point out that the radar has been very forgiving- typically we could have light snow on the radar but nothing outside(virga)- this winter has showed areas of nothing on the radar but people reporting moderate snow. What's the opposite of virga? Lol Hallucination?
NorthShoreWx
Ok. Heavy snow for sure now. Just checked down the block and can't see my quarter mile reference point. Radar has been looking good over the south shore and those heavier returns just blossomed into a quite respectable looking 30+ dbz snow shower over western Suffolk. Could be a nice finale
winterwx21
I just measured 1.8" here. Very nice. Don't think we can call it an overperformer, because the forecast was for 1 to 2. Nice little event as expected. Someone mentioned we might do this again Monday, but I don't think so. Temps Monday are expected to get above freezing ahead of the front. Just looks like a snow/rain shower. Nothing like today when we had temps in the 20s with steady snow.
