This is gonna cause the jetstream to drive south with unusually cold air into the eastern US next month. Models will eventually latch onto it. It will certainly help to dump cold air somewhere in the US, but it may be centered more towards the Plains and Midwest with the NAO being positive. I think the NAO being positive this time around is going stop the cold air from pouring as far East into our area as we currently just did with Wipha and a negative NAO phase. Definitely something to watch though but I think the plains into the midwest might get more of the cold air to come than we do with the NAO this time. We shall see.
