  1. Yeah I'm good with this trade. Diggs is as good as anyone you could have picked at WR, and he's good right now. Thinksnow is also right. If they can't coach the stupid out of Josh, then nothing else will matter. This is a really big year coming up. If Josh doesn't get his head screwed on straight it will be time to move on and draft another QB.
  2. Wide receivers do not make quarterbacks better. It is and has always been the other way around. Read this morning that Josh Allen had the worst off throw percentage in the league per Bill Barnwell. Diggs doesn't suddenly change that percentage nor his hero ball he likes to play. Josh reminds me if the 1 1/2 year old puppy dog that knows it's bad to piss on the carpet but does it anyway.
  3. Hey bo/Josh, we’re looking at some land, 15 acres, over near your old stomping ground bo, East Jordan. It’s actually just off M66 about 1/2 way between East Jordan and 131. Just wondering what you’re thoughts are of that area. Looks like they average a little over 100” of snow and it’s close to some really good mountain bike trails and some great inland lakes. Any thoughts you could pass along would be appreciated, thanks
  4. GW everything is shifting north. We're like Nashville now. Can't wait til Josh has to go through a 'columbus-esque' winter.... it's coming Josh...it's coming Hopefully it keeps up.... wouldn't mind a solid Atlanta-type winter pattern in the future...I'm getting too old for the cold
  5. Ok so here is some quality information to lighten everything up. Car conversation on the way home from riding. 13 yr old- mom did you know that if you find whale vomit on the beach it is worth a lot of money. Me- ...ah whale vomit? 13 yr old- yes. When a whale eats squid the barbs from the squid collect in its stomach. And it eventually passes through the anus... Me- so whale vomit is actually whale shit! 13 yr old- yea you could say that. 13 yr old- they crap it out and it gets rolled around in the sea for many years and gets hard. When it makes its way to a beach it weighs a ton. Me- 13 yr old- it is rare so it is worth a lot of money. Me- so we should look for whale shit? 13 yr old- they use it in perfume to make the scent last longer. Me- Me- so wearing perfume means you are wearing whale shit? 13 yr old- yes. Where does this kid get this from? And yes Josh actually looked this up and she is correct! It is called ambergris.
  6. Cue Josh optimistically stating that March is going to rock. EDIT: They also forgot that this is a leap year. February 29th is going to rock. Either that, or it will be an extra day of a miserable winter.
  7. Look, I know I'm not in the majority on this board...I get that. And I do agree with Josh that today is a nice wintry day...near 30 with about 2" of snow on the ground. But that's the bare minimum to qualify for a wintry day...just barely hanging on. If you use the criteria of a high temp <= 30F and 2+" of snow cover to define a "wintry day", we've only had about 5 of them since November 15th. So, 5 days out of 70. Not good. Believe me, it's exhausting to have to hope for every day to be below normal...and to know that if it gets close to freezing, you have to desperately wish for the sun not to come out, because otherwise the drip drip drip will start. I was up in northern WI snowmobiling with my son and brother this past weekend, and it was glorious. About 20 degrees during most of the day with pixie dust falling, all surfaces covered in snow, very short daylight...and about 10-15" of snow on the ground. Then it cleared out after sunset and rapidly dropped to 5 degrees, even with a fairly mild large-scale air mass in place. And, the locals all said that 2019-20 has been an incredibly mild winter so far. Even in the most boring winters up there, you can wake up every day between 12/15 and 2/28, and there will be snow on the ground and it will be wintry. No worries at all about melting; it's just a matter of how much below freezing it will be, and whether there is a ton of snow or a decent amount of snow. It's a sacred part of the calendar. The Cubs didn't win a World Series for 107 years, but it didn't stop people from hoping for it each year.
  8. When even Josh says you are unreasonable in reference to cold and snow, might be time to reevaluate things.
  9. I don't have any bat boxes but that is a good idea. I do have two bats that hang around the open area of the front yard. I see them pretty regularly around dusk in the summer, swooping up bugs. Very nice pics Josh! Is that a for sale sign at the end of your drive? 48 hr storm total 20" here, 17" MQT.
  10. Dang my Twins just signed Josh Donaldson...ok I'm ready for baseball since winter wont start
  11. Proud of my team. Sad a season is over but have no right to expect better results with what they had to overcome. Found this quote from the game summary just lol. “By the end of the game, un-retired McCown’s weapons included Greg Ward, Josh Perkins, Robert Davis, Richard Rogers, Shelton Gibson, and Deontay Burnett. All had been unemployed at some point this season.”
  12. I trust nothing, especially the euro. I was really focusing and following the 'threat' that was showing for this coming week. If you recall, it started as a major low cutting to the lower lakes with a lot of wind and snow on the nw flanks. It then started to look like a Josh special with the low cutting through Ohio. Then came our turn with a few runs of the low tracking through KY. Now, it looks like it will end up a sloppy, slushy 1-2" event for DC. I see Chicago just ninja'd me
  13. Heartily agree! There are things that should improve with time for Josh, like his accuracy and his ability to make quick reads at the line of scrimmage. Of course another really good receiver will help too. Maybe Duke Williams makes that leap next year. What worries me though are the impulsive, spur of the moment really stupid things that he does. I don't know if they can be coached out of him. Daboll certainly hasn't been able to. As an example: Once you've fumbled umpteen times in the season, and cost your team dearly, you think you would start to understand you have to wrap the ball up tight after contact and get down and go get em on the next play. Seems obvious, right? But not to Josh, at least not so far.
  14. I am 100% a Bills fan and a Josh Allen fan. And every comment that has been made about them on here I can agree with. My take on Allen is he will get better as time goes on and he settles down more and of course with more help. We need to keep the coaching staff both offense and defense as well as, as many defensive players on the roster as we can for next year. As for the loss I feel everyone shoulders some blame. Allen made too many costly plays, the coaching staff called to conservative of a mid game with the lead. And the defense gave up to many big plays with soft coverage and or poor tackling. Football is a team sport and they truly lost as a team....now back to your local weather forecast lol.
  15. I blame the play calling more then anything. Tannehill just beat the Patriots throwing for 77 yards. They ran the ball 34 times for 182 yards. Singletary was running all over them, and Houston has a bottom 5 run defense. Gore needs to be gone next year. Allen threw the ball 48 times! Watson for 25....What in the world was our team thinking? Throwing 3 bombs to the end zone in which none were necessary, allen tossing the ball back on his run with over a minute on the clock needing a FG at the mid field...Secondly I blame the refs for that 3rd and 18 play delay of game and the phantom block in the back 15 yard penalty that knocked us out of FG range. But Josh Allen threw for less then 50% completion, he isn't good yet. Has a long offseason ahead of him to improve his accuracy. That was the most frustrating game I've watched since the music city miracle in 1999. Going to take awhile to recover from that one.
  16. The dude had almost 400 total yards and a TD.... stop putting all the blame on Allen. Did you not see the collapse by the defense in the entire 2nd half? Josh played far from perfect and made some boneheaded plays but you people criticizing him like he’s EJ Manuel is ridiculous. Dude gives it his all each and every game and yes sometimes it can cost us (that fumble that led to the HOU FG) but I’d take him over 75% of the QB out there right now. He needs a few more pieces around him next year and I guarantee Josh will be much better.
  17. I'm blaming Josh for some really stupid mistakes in the second half. He's a great athlete with great potential to be a star QB......but if they cannot beat the stupid out of him it's going to be for naught.
  18. I think it depends on whose temps you are talking about. What happens globally may not be reflected regionally or locally. We can still get colder than average winters in the Midwest no matter what is going on elsewhere. But for the sake of argument, let's say Detroit starts seeing a significant warming trend in winter temps. Snowfall is fickle but that would probably start to eat into the snowfall average eventually. Josh or someone can check it out but if you look at Detroit's snowiest 10 or 20 winters, I bet you aren't going to find that many warmer than average ones in there... especially more than 1F above avg. And the warmer than average winters probably lean toward mediocrity or worse for total snowfall. Of course the farther north you are, the more you can get away with warming.
  19. Wow, so pretty. Merry Christmas Josh!
  20. I know. I josh. It seems that the tenor of the month has been to trend colder as we get closer in time. Not sure if that is actually true or just my perception. I thought the month would be a bit AN temp wise and BN snow wise. Oops
  21. we signed the wrong guy to a big contract. hello josh donaldson
  22. Not to be the one that mentioned it to you earlier but Josh is a game manager. And what Th at means is he can make enough plays to help win a game but he needs a supporting cast to do it. If it weren't for this defense that plays lights out ball week in and week out, Josh would not be able to put the team on his back and throw for 380 and 4 tds to either win games or get into shoot outs with other qb's. He's the best we've had of a mediocre bunch but I believe this is what you'll get in his career.
  23. You mean if the offensive line actually somewhat protected him today and his receivers actually caught the ball. Don’t get me wrong Josh didn’t have his best game, but I hate when people blame one person especially when he had no interceptions, took an absolute beating out there running for his life when a blitz pickup was missed or his rookie TE completely whiffs on a block and gets him absolutely crushed on his blindside causing a fumble and his receivers had over 5 drops, a couple coming in critical times. The whole offense kind of laid a dud today, play calling included.
