  2. Depending on which autoimmune it can be very tricky. I have sarcoidosis, my mom has Lupus, my aunt MS. For sarcoidosis non-caseating granulomas on Lymph nodes is the key. The problem lies in that the only way to tell if that is present is through biospy. I had to be out under to get a Endobronchial ultrasound-guided biopsy. The other issue is that just being sick often causes swollen Lymph nodes. The swollen lymph nodes did show up on my cat scan and partially on the X-ray. My cousin's case is rare because sarcoidosis doesn't usually go to heart. His lymph nodes were not super swollen. The massive inflammation in his heart did not show up on CAT scan at all. As he started deteriorating over months they did a normal 24 hr fasting PET. He was lucky a keen eyed radiologist spotted something barely. Normally you need at least a 48-72hr fasting PET for it to show up well. Lupus took a year of all kinds of doctors and testing. It wasn't caught till it expressed itself in a rash that would not go away and my mom's dermatologist was able to do a punch biopsy and use Direct Immunofluorescence to confirm it. I wish well. Your story just brought back memories of myself and family members dealing illnesses that were extremely frustrating and felt all encompassing. The imaging and biospy were just one part of the dx. I also have extended family members with uveitis, Sjögren’s, colitis, Crohn's. All of them were literal hell to get to bottom of. Hope you feel better Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk
  3. Stein holding strong locally. Just a few light showers
  4. I wonder if this was it?
  5. Nice 20 Minute downpour to get me over an inch for the event
  6. Wow on radar. Just not here. I wonder what the totals will be from those storms over northern PA.
  7. Yes. In general, Japanese culture is polite and a lot less individualistic.
  8. Looks like a little over a half inch here at home from today’s storms.
  9. 2.25" of rain over the past couple days. Great for greenage!!
  10. Steined again with weakening rain overhead and downpours in all directions.
  11. Sun out here, turning into a decent late afternoon
  12. We’re in the lime green stage too. Hopefully the fruit trees get a little sun before they’re done blooming. At least the whistlepig is having fun in the rain.
  13. I do appreciate the late spring/early summer look. Refreshing.
  14. Well said, and I largely agree with everything you’re saying. The forecast have been increasingly inaccurate over time. Like you said, it is a very broad type of forecast. And we are in this specific area of the valley in a very interesting micro climate. Overall, we get a boatload of rain on a yearly basis. We are either getting flooded out, or we go into dry spells as we have recently. Today, even small components of the forecast were very inaccurate. We kept the stable east wind flow right up until about 3 PM, which continued to work it’s magic to keep us very dry. I just finished work and I’m coming home soon, but I’ve been following the radar as much as I could this afternoon and I’m not sure we got more than a 10th of an inch at home. .
  15. nothing but sprinkles here today in Macungie. Missed everything. Total four day is .46 in---- Storms to the west and east and we got the 4-10 split. Well better luck next time. When are we ever going to have a decent NW to SE squall line come through? Everything is hit and miss in our region I literally cannot remember when a squall line preceded a cold front as so many squall lines have went ---poof ---before hitting the Blue Mts.
  16. been learning metpy, and made this plot layering hrrr fh0 data for surface temps, pressure, and composite reflectivity. interesting how warm it is in minnesota especially, compared to literally anywhere farther south
  17. 0.11 inches of rain the past few days. Yup, that’s it.
  18. Today
  19. .62" yesterday and 4 day total of 1.97". That's .003" shy of what I got for all of April.
  20. I see DIT was confused by my statement and I wasn’t trying to undermine the deep summer claim… vegetation just looks different as it gets going. That light green is always an awesome time IMO… fresh. Not the deeper, dark green of a July forest. Just different variations throughout the warm season. Sometimes I think we use the deep summer phrase when we really mean “warm season.”
  21. I paid for that one...right on cue an isolated 15 minute boom boom over Belle Mead NJ
