  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah I hope so, honestly I have a feeling we got some October 80s coming this year too. Very much so, it feels like its been several years since we had a good one.
  3. Not sure about others, but I did. Low was 46.3 here, new record for date. Old mark was 51 degrees from 1982.
  4. Yeah its like a bowl where it is, very misleading for temps in the area but true to its location. 50 again last night for a low here. I see that Grayling was 33 last hour up north, pretty wild for this time of year.
  5. We hit 56 this morning south of ATL. Not sure what the record low is. Windows are OPEN!!!!!!
  6. Man they can radiate well! I wish there was a camera there too.
  7. If I score measurable precip today and with the rain coming Friday, this week will be the wettest in a month. Maybe longer. To be sure, it’s not much at all - talking less than 0.75” in aggregate —but that’s how dry it’s been… Definitely changes too in terms of cloud cover. Much less full sun, even on the fair weather days.
  8. Could be some quick hitting showers in NE MA/NH/SW ME today. We pray.
  9. Another beautiful morning area-wide. Chilly low here, 42.
  10. 46 at Parkton Mesonet for a low
  11. 55 here Goldsboro Mesonet had a low of 52.
  12. Wow @ Atlanta Did any of our stations reach a record? There are some dots in the area on this graphic.
  13. Did somewhere in GA reach the record monthly low?

  15. Today
  16. First time with no 90° days at the warm spots from 8-18 through 8-31 since 2011. That year it took Irene merging with the trough and plenty of rain. This time the recurving hurricane and trough over Eastern Canada were enough. 17. You’re in such a great spot for inversion nights.
  18. 43.1 this morning. Normal for Oct. 18. 28.1 at Canaan NWR.
  19. Just missed the record low of 46. So far, looks like 48 will be the lowest that we drop at TRI. Update....The coldest WxUnderground station that I can find currently is 47 in KPT at the moment w/ TRI having risen a couple of degrees to 50. On a side note, bird migrations from the north have started early....
  20. Probably still better than Henri.
  21. White Plains has fallen into the 50s for the 10th time this month. The last time that happened in August was 2013. White Plains is on course for 14 such days this month. That would be the most such days since 1987 when there were also 14 days.
  22. Impressive spike! So, I just looked at SIDC, which shows that 290 on 7/18/24, and see “only” 204 for today’s early avg: https://www.sidc.be/SILSO/DATA/EISN/EISN_current.txt 2025 08 26 2025.651 187 21.4 26 29 2025 08 27 2025.653 204 15.3 9 13 Let’s see where the full 8/27/25 avg ends up.
