Don’t they already have 20”? And part 2 hadn’t started
-
Several districts have already closed entirely for tomorrow here in RVA area. Powhatan, Henrico, Chesterfield, and Goochland at least.

I just realized, why is the March 2012 heat blamed for all the damage when it was the cold in Apr that did the deed? Blame that solely. If it stays above seasonal, no freeze after, the woe would be averted but nature likes to 'balance things out' a bit too enthusiastically. I had an ask back then if it was possible to have a pattern with Mar 2012, then Apr/May being avg to above as well. I was told 'no'. With that kind of certainty of flip, would it be such a lock that an expert would bet their savings on Apr/May being below normal in the Great Lakes region?

Central PA Spring 2026 Discussion/Obs Thread

Setting aside the fact that apparently we're all going to die tomorrow, there are some parts of the SC region that can not really afford any wind. There are a lot of trees down in parts of Huntingdon, Franklin, Fulton, and Bedford counties from Friday's wind. A lot more trees that probably won't survive the next wind event. -
Idk, seems like we routinely fail at severe. Mostly garden variety storms with some heavy rain, modest wind gusts, and some decent T&L.

my lack of meteorological education is possible but I dont see how anticipated snowfall totals will hold up in the UP MI etc or places like Green Bay unless things change. I don't recall the models showing this but again it could be my lack of knowledge

They’re ok - no damage - but neighbor (about 1/4 mile down - it’s Texas remember) lost a part of their roof. -
This is sad, because it's true. Severe is a lock tomorrow. If it was a blizzard, we'd be watching the snow sink south of us by now.

Snow Squall warning for here. Can't remember the last time I saw one. -
They won’t. Look at this week a coastal turned into a massive cutter and the cold air disappeared
-
Uggg. Sorry.

Why do we excel at anything non snow? Wind, excessive heat, severe t storms. If its frozen it’s a snooze fest

I wish the flow would turn more sw earlier in the day to remove the maritime layer. Until then drizzle or light showers at best. Hope I am wrong and look like a fool. [emoji3] -
Just had a very close CG hit here at home. Shook the house, and rearranged pictures on the wall.
