  1. Past hour
  2. 78 and sunny off Camden, ME. There’s a refreshing sea breeze.
  3. Went from the 3 amigos talking about summer wax over , posting silly blue maps. And it’s turned into 2 normal days before the next HHH sets in Aug 4. Poor ACATT. Struggle bus for the next 60 days https://x.com/jmelmed23/status/1949069581798052163?s=46&t=dhcbvkjmRcyBVQtDxJ3lRg
  4. To be fair WB has predicted I’d have near normal or above normal snowfall 13 of the 14 years they issued a forecast and I’ve actually had near or above normal snowfall 4 of those 14 years. ETA: I’m not disputing your specific point about his statement. But it’s hard to take anything those clowns say seriously given their track record.
  5. Dews will stay in the 60’s south of pike tomorrow "Pike" meant 40°N
  6. My station in Whitestone hit 99.7 degrees. So it matches LGA.
  7. milky sky here but can still see some blueish tint along with some cirrus. Probably wouldn't be much smoke at ground level if we didn't have a bit of a breeze mixing things up. Though I haven't really looked at anything in terms of the smoke plume and how shallow it really is so could be breeze has minimal impact
  8. I left home and headed to work in Worcester around 11AM. I have been teaching this course for 4 years and yesterday was the hottest I’ve experienced in downtown-this before AND after the little storm rolled through. Deep into metro west car was registering mid to upper 90s. 0Z MEX had 96 for BOS Tuesday. That could be the sneaky run for the money hot one.
  9. I've got to admit, even though I like summer heat, the crazy humidity has been hard to take some days.
  10. Like the smoke you blow with all your gloves and hoodie references...
  11. Err...yeah it kinda does because there's still like 3 years left on his rookie deal, man! And I do not believe Adley is going to wanna negotiate any early extension right now given his struggles. He is a piece of the young core that you don't want to get rid of unless you're sure he's a bust or whatever (for me next year will be telling). And why can't we can have Adley and Basallo together? Basallo is not gonna be ready to be the main catcher from the jump, imo
  12. if you live in nyc you are use to smoke from many causes..
  13. Today
  14. Very intrigued by Wednesday...just have to iron out the features and details over the next few days. Hell, could even be a evening or night show.
  15. i'm at the beach and the sea breeze is bringing the smoke in. really weird
  16. Nice round of anvil rains this morning. 2-day total up to 0.64". Getting closer to the 5" mark for July.
  17. Nope. No one measures the temperature of Chester County and there is no "actual factual raw data" for Chester County in your chart. Your line is a calculated value and you are making a rookie mistake which distorts the raw data. As I have mentioned before, taking the simple average of changing station network skews the trend. If you have cooler stations at the end vs the beginning you will combine the network and weather changes and bias the results. Easy to demonstrate using the 90F data for Chesco stations that you posted recently. The table below sorts the Chesco stations you are using from high to low 90F days. For stations with a long record only the last 30 years of 90F data are used for a btter comparison to the current stations. Due to location, the older stations tend to be at the top of the 90F list and the newest stations at the bottom. The 90F day plot that you posted recently is skewed by the change in the station network from 1950 to today. That's why your chart doesn't match the raw 90F data from Phoenixville, West Chester or Avondale, which all show an increasing in 90F days, not a decreasing trend. Your 90F result is determined by the stations you have selected not our weather. Same thing happens with temperature. Your county estimate is biased and the bias increases the further back you go as the county network becomes warmer and warmer relative to today's network. The 1940s network is completely different than the one you have put together for today.
  18. We got 0.11" overnight. DTW got 0.43". First measurable rain in exactly 2 weeks
  19. Trading him doesn’t mean they are giving up on him. They’ve got Basallo at AAA and Adley is going to want a multi year deal. If he’s healthy and we can get something good in return, trade him.
  20. I thought it smelled like chlorine. My 1st instinct was a pool, but no one around me has one.
