  1. Past hour
  2. It's loud! Haven't given a river ob here for a while, unsurprisingly it is frozen over, with a blanket of white on top
  3. 1.5 QPF and 0.25 in the bucket. Im hoping to get half before mixing or sleet here areas north can get 1.0 as all snow.
  4. Flakes are getting bigger, heavier here on UWS.
  5. That band coming in from New Bedford/Newport looks awesome! Also, seems like most models now keeping sleet limited to the immediate coast?
  6. probably have to go back to the 96 blizzard since we had snow in these cold temps in the city..
  7. all i need is the whole NY metro, NNJ and LI to get at least 8 and im happy and i dont see how that doesnt happen.
  8. Snow started here in coastal Rhode Island just before 10:00 AM. The generator has been run, the birds were fed early, and the various shovels are propositioned, 2M/440Mhz handhelds charged, battery for HF ham radio charged. Hopefully everyone efforts keep the power on but the snow falling. Enjoy the snow but everyone be careful.
  9. Still not happy to end up sleeting with this sort of antecedent airmass, but at least it's pounding during the day. It's gorgeous out.
  10. Pouring sleet in Kernersville with some gusty winds. Temps have started the upward ticks now to 16°.
  11. We in Knoxville are sitting around freezing or just above and because of CAD Augusta Ga has snow and sleet. This storm is really powerful.
  12. Hopefully cold air can win out let it stay there all day
  13. Yeah this model is on crack. Not sure how it can be off so badly.
  14. Not your typical SWFE that many were claiming
  15. Heavy snow and the temp is still dropping ever so slightly, 6° now
  16. Interesting from DC Baltimore area. .1 to .2 inch an hour sleet accumulation.
  17. You can see several of the trees that are leaning in the background- crossing my fingers that we won't have much in the way of ZR
  18. NWS of GSP doubled down on an additional 0.50” of freezing rain today for Greenville and Spartanburg. We will see
  19. Agree. It’s barely moving. We have several hours left of this moderate to heavy snow. I can’t see how NYC doesn’t end with 10”+
  20. If the warm layer is thick enough to melt the entire snowflake then they’ll all be about the same size. Sleet doesn’t “grow”, so really no wiggle room from that 3:1 area.
  21. Yep just started back up for me after about a ~45-60 min lull. It's very light though.
