  1. Past hour
  2. Feeling good about a 2-4”+ event; would round out December nicely after picking up 2-3” this am
  3. People see this and think the lesser values mean change to rain when in fact it means glacier Sent from my SM-S731U using Tapatalk
  4. #SleetCounts #NoIPLeftBehind
  5. Congratulations for escaping to a free state! You will still get snow down there.
  6. I’m not expecting more than 0.2” LE from this. 4-6” range here is shtoooopid.
  7. It's pathway to getting to this scalar layout is suspect tho. just sayn'
  8. Some similarities to 1/6/89 with this storm. Produced about 4-7 inches across the area in a -PNA pattern. BDL/BOS/PVD all got shutout. https://www.meteo.psu.edu/ewall/NARR/1989/us0106.php
  9. That’ll be gone by the time we get there most likely…but it’s a nice look at the moment.
  10. God I still remember spending the entire winter of ‘94-‘95 staring out the window of my fifth grade classroom forlornly at the grey/brown landscape. Painful. But the next year more than made up for it.
  11. Actually has a rare true flash freeze event during a rain to snowstorm on that solution. Doubt it verifies but every once in a while it happens.
  12. i’m holding with light snow with an inch of heavy stuff on the ground including roads. This storm is a nice christmas surprise.
  13. Still uncertain though, because the weeklies have been flip flopping. Few days ago, they were hinting at a colder pattern, then they flipped warm the next day. It looked like a zero hope shut the blinds torch through and through. Then they again flipped colder yesterday, and doubled down again today.
  14. That was just a wild winter, such a crazy +AO/NAO fairly far removed from the solar max and also in a weak to moderate El Nino.
  15. The brief period of snow on the ECM Boxing Day starts at dark lol
  16. It looks like we go warm by the 2nd week of January, which makes sense, considering we haven't had a December and January go all the way cold since 2010-11:
  17. Bumped up here to 3 to 6 inches with an advisory
  18. four threads in December? I’m pretty content with giving it at least a B.
  19. Yeah i was looking at this recently because im getting ready to work on the 94-95 season. NYC got 10.8" from that storm and 11.6" all winter total. If it werent for that storm they would have had 0.8" on the winter, which would have made it, by far the worst season in history. Along with a lot of other climo sites, it would have been the worst winter ever including ORH.
  20. Most likely yes. Nam will sniff this out as we get closer (only thing its useful for)
  21. really likes the NYE timeframe. has the TPV take a trip south and boom
