  1. Past hour
  2. Severe warned storms down around Roanoke. Seems more active than forecasted so far.
  3. Lol…ya it’s Capicola. Regional dialects. But Boston Italians aren much different.
  4. The way Nino 4 is warming is so interesting. Again, only 2 April's on record had higher than +0.500 monthly for later in year >+1.2 El Nino's (out of 15): April 1997: +0.59 April 2015: +0.98 We are at +0.511 on April 1. There is so much warm potential energy for things to easily go strong. PhillyEaglesfan may not get his Strong Nina for a while.
  5. not sure if anyone's mentioned but perhaps it's too obvious and out there already ... 73 --> 34 --> 73 ? really ?
  6. Why do New York and New Jersey Italians pronounce things like morons?
  7. No wonder that poor SOB died….great actor.
  8. So you have a Dunlap, Stomach Dunlap over your belt...............................
  9. Yea, 1997 got insanely warm in the subsurface starting in the spring like this one appears to be doing. SSTs ended up peaking in region 3.4 on the weeklies at +2.8C the last week of November, 1997
  10. High was 71 but now 54 and plummeting. We await the dogshit tomorrow
  11. 5th warmest March on record in the Pittsburgh International era (1952-present), just behind 2025 and just ahead of 2024. So 3 of the top 6 in those 74 years have been consecutive.
  12. 110 isn't beyond my imagination - a NJ town reached that decades ago and EWR touched 108 in 2011. (IMO, the recent EWR heat is due more to site than cc, though both contribute.) 120 seems like silly talk for the Northeast. I've not researched the freaky 110+ highs in western Washington a couple years back, but I'd guess that both an anomalous hot land wind plus downsloping from the Olympics and Cascades were in play. Land wind is already the prevailing direction here and downsloping can't compete with those western mountains. Sun fighting but losing to the clouds, though it was bright enough to push temps near 50. Still 2" at the stake but it's crying for momma.
  13. Yeah, April 1997 had a really warm subsurface Image links aren't working. I'll try to upload image later
  14. Local mets are really downplaying this potential. I watched a few of them over lunch and they all thought any severe threat would be extremely isolated.
  15. I know right. Where i grew up in Detroit has had tons of storms already this year. I could go for a good light show.
  16. Obviously, for the sake of climate change, I prefer normal seasons…but man this weather feels incredible. I needed this in my life. Now can we get some thunder in this pattern?
  17. Bro calm down. They’ll have more boston cream tomorrow.
  18. I think 1997 might have gotten that warm or close to it in the subsurface at one point
  19. Ok, Or when you go to Tavern on the Green with your wife…
  20. I dont go to Coney Island. Nothing good there.
  21. Today
  22. Tomorrow we might hit +5c in the subsurface on TAO/Triton. I don't think I've ever seen it so warm. Will have to compare vs analogs.
