Alot of screenshots to bump -
Radar is exploding on the southern edge in PA now. Someone is going to get 6 inches of rain from this.

I went to backwater falls last January and it was pretty nice. The “trail” is pretty much a straight walkway down to the falls and there’s some pretty nice photography to be done there. I ditched and just did a long exposure of the water/ice in the snow as the lighting was bad when I went. It’ll probably be crowded, there were several families there even in the dead of winter, so that sorta sucked. Worth a small detour, but I personally loved the red river area far more and plan to go back sometime this or next week (and chimney rocks looks sick, but that’s further from deep creek).

Temps jumped to 80 degrees in no time.

Spring/Summer 2026 Pattern Discussion Thread
Carvers Gap replied to Carvers Gap's topic in Tennessee Valley
Every time I had to unjam the bagger tube on the mower today, I literally thought about your last sentence! Haha! I suppose it is better than the "cloud of dust" La Nina pattern that my yard has experienced for what seems like the last decade. It is crazy how green everything is in NE TN. It is almost like Mother Nature forgot spring, and were are going back and making up the course work right now. -
Looks like the moderate risk for excessive rainfall has been expanded.

95% live w/in a county or two of 94 from Minneapolis to Detroit, it seems lol

2026 Mid-Atlantic Severe Storm General Discussion
SnowenOutThere replied to Kmlwx's topic in Mid Atlantic
Can see the clearing happening everywhere around my house on Sat, but ground truth is still cloudy with some haze. That said, think we could be in for a decent severe wx day, we got the parameters for a good squall/MCS so maybe we get lucky and have a nice shelf cloud.- 1,518 replies

Caught the tail end of the cluster of storms that moved SE out of KY this morning. It kind of split my house and went east and west, but at my office in downtown Morristown it came a flood literally. Over an inch in 15min with lots of lightning. Apparently there was some hail just to my NW in Grainger Co but not so much here in town. Just a fast as it came in, it went out, and all the clouds cleared out with bright sunshine. Man is it muggy out there now!

Yeah sun is coming out here as well. Heating up in no time. Actually clear skies over me now.
-
I think the likelihood is actually increasing for the western part of nc. It may take cams a bit to catch on but the sun is fully coming out with plenty to go upstream.
-
Yeah skies are clearing here on airport rd as well. A good sign for destabilizing the atmosphere.
