There's no CT west of the river?
-
NWS rated this EF1. Never really hit anything directly. Grazed some farmsteads and a business. We had debris falling on us about a mile away. Biggest EF1 I’ve seen, lol. Yes I know that’s not how it’s rated.

We have been above 100 for almost 6 hours straight. That has to be a record

2026 Mid-Atlantic Severe Storm General Discussion
Eskimo Joe replied to Kmlwx's topic in Mid Atlantic
That cluster which originated near IAD yesterday just went gangbusters as it swung through Fairfax, far southern Montgomery, DC, and Prince Georges County. There was a consistent 60-70kt wind signature for over an hour. Really impressive stuff. Looking back on it, the canary in the coal mine was probably the earlier convection near Pittsburgh going so strong.- 616 replies

This storm had some gusts and then a gully washer, booming thunder.

GWDLT.

Nothing yesterday and .03 overnight. Even my deep rooted plants and raspberry patch are stressed. All around me got hammered, heavy rain, wind and tennis ball hail from Pawling through Danbury and up to an inch of rain in a couple of spots to my WNW.

This weather is absolutely atrocious and anyone who likes it has to be mentally ill or a glass full at all times. -
We have had 2" of rain over the last couple of days. Really helping things stay green. I'm starting to get interested about Sunday. Im actually more interested in what could happen in DCA. Extreme heat and humidity with the potential of severe thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening. A huge outdoor event with not too much weather planning it seems. I'm glad I don't work for the National Weather Service at BWI. Some heads could roll if they don't get it just right. I know this borders on politics but a very interesting setup for many people that day, weatherwise...

Well that's good, because this week, so far, has been pretty lackluster as far as storms go for my backyard. -

Quick moving small storm hit here .14 At least it cooled off the garden.

Finally hit 90 from this stretch. I had been thinking heat wave but nope.
