  1. Past hour
  2. Hit 37 here this morning. A few readings over 90 degrees already in western Minnesota as of noon. Looks like mid 90s for some locations this afternoon. Not bad for May 9th.
  3. Yep and plenty of snow when the pattern supports storms into SoCal.
  4. The only takeaway that I have from the models the past couple of weeks is that the dry pattern may finally be starting to break. Eventually one of these events will perform as advertised.
  5. Long range pattern is wet drought guy will need to retire
  6. Got lucky here the last two hours with .23 inches of rain. Nice and steady rainfall, good for the garden and flowers. Next real chance of rain not until next Tuesday night.
  7. Maybe the SE PA/SNJ stuff might swing through here. If it holds.
  8. Hopefully it comes true just like it did when the euro was predicting 7-10" area-wide 10 days ago.
  9. 1.80" for the day, 2.43" for this event, 4.84" for the week and 5.56" for the month so far. Still raining. Glad I got the lawn cut yesterday
  10. My birthday is May 8th so the weather can be very variable this time of year, but by a mile 2020 was my coldest birthday. I wore a turtleneck sweater that day. It flurried all day in a brisk breeze then we got to a record low of 27F the next morning, one of the coldest May temps on record.
  11. Hopefully. HRRR says we're gonna get some more rain from that batch.
  12. 1.80" overnight 4.60" the last week Make it stop what is going on Over 6" first half of April and working on 5" through the first third of May
  13. Today
  14. Received .40" snowfall with a morning low temperature of 26 degrees. I was at a funeral down in Trenton in 1977. I was a young teenager and I remember standing at the cemetery mid morning with a cold wind and a snow squall going on. Horrible day I try not to remember but can never forget.
  15. wow it didn't touch land at all between the Bahamas and Long Island?
  16. All the damp Should help keep the gypsies down at least
  17. WB 12Z GFS: after a beautiful Mother's Day weekend another wet weather period potential moves into the area Tuesday for several days.
  18. 0.73" Week @ 3.06" Next choo choo in this train might be a little further east.
  19. Those big decaying former MDR majors are always disappointing up here. Their circulations are so large that they entrain a ton of dry air by the time they arrive. Gloria being a great example. What you want is either rapid speed, 1938 or a home grown storm like Bob 91 or carol 54.
  20. At least late morning into middle afternoon. If I can locate my records, I will be more specific.
