Stein except congrats Dendy After what happened today across CT/RI/SE MA, it shows the shortcomings of such forecasts! The past few months for the S Coast and esp. swrn CT have been like the blitz of Jan-Feb 2015, except rain! And @CoastalWx calls the pattern "boring"?!

Rivers and ponds are about as low as I can recall and the trees are dropping leaves. This probably is the second driest summer I can remember since moving here in 2013. No way. It not like you missed out on the big rain mid-summer completely. Do you have actual pcpn stats to back the up for Weymouth? Otherwise, it is anecdotal and whining b/c of "boredom!" A drought w/ 3 month totals like this? I don't think so. Not a meteorological one. Drought monitor shows abnormally dry SE MA Recall what it was 2 months ago? CMI and Palmer show neutral conditions currently. For your immediate area, the map plot shows very close to avg rainfall for the summer.

I'll be sleeping like a baby while wifey looks for a 20th blanket And you'll both be secure in the knowledge that men are, with some exceptions, hardwired to be 10-15 degrees F warmer than women. Seriously, there ought to be a power-generating doohickey that sits between us in bed and somehow makes use of the thermal gradient and converts it into storable energy to power your house. Much like those machines that float in the ocean and generate electricity from wave energy.
