Pretty impressive lightning from that storm over Auburn / Worcester.  I'm just north of the main rain shield and it's rumbling the house pretty sufficiently.

Quite a few power outages from these storms.  Southbridge looks pretty hard hit on the National Grid site--over 25% of the customers in town are out.

Just chilling in the porch right now having a few munchies and it’s a total sauna right now. The cicadas seem to be taking it in stride though along with a few chubby toads camping out by the garden. All I could ask for now is just one quick boomer to top off the day!

I once saw a young woman on the Knife's Edge on the summit of Katahdin; there had been a few rumbles of thunder; and she was standing on top of a rock; her friends looking up at her blond tresses writhing about in the charged electrical environment. I could confirm this was a real phenomenon because my boots were sounding out a weird squelching static sound as I navigated the treacherous path. Luckily, this did not escalate as it dangerously could have-- just a heavy downpour to help wash our way back down the mountain.

There was no DIT storm. 4th severe warning of summer with no storm . Picked up .18 in a gentle shower

Yeah. Was out on Pt Judith all week at my sister's beach house. Yesterday was the only day it got above 80. 

I set this station at my sisters a few years ago. Didn't there used to be a coop station or something out on PT Judith back in the day? 

Probably one of coolest non island spots in New England. Last above 80 reading was July 15th.
