It would pretty much solve all energy needs, shorting demand down the individual level. Doesn't take a massive descriptive essay to see where that intuitively goes. For starters, the economic engine that keeps humanity on the same page, seizes like it ran out of oil and all at once stopped. No pun. That's just one facet.
