Eskimo Joe
Rather impressive to see the warm sector clear out so much. While surface CAPE is small and likely a narrow profile, there's okay lapse rates and respectable shear, which is probably why the DCAPE is decent. I'd still favor north of Mason-Dixon for any more scattered to widespread severe winds, etc.

I had to drive from Warrenton up to Charles Town on an errand and moving down into town off a ridge the change was jarring - from dense overcast and fog to blinding sunshine
Eskimo Joe
The best storms appear to be well north of Harrisburg at the moment. Those are the only storms producing wind damage and CG.
wxmeddler
Storms seem to be firing off the cold front now east of the Blue Ridge and unzipping from the north so we'll see if that continues. It should theoretically.

vortex95
Saw this on FB. Did it really look like this? Just I saw no pix on this thread or other Mid-Atlantic threads. I figure at least one would have been posted. Just being cautious b/c DCA METAR did indeed report "shelf cloud," but you know how it can go when something get reported and what some will find from other events, and them claim it was on X day. And the date is listed as 10/15. The line of tstms was on 10/16!
