3/20 was another missed opportunity. Have a decent shortwave coming out of the gulf and the ridge just gets pushed east/trough lifts out beforehand.

ya 3/20 still has hope it's 9 days out.. Remember the mega blizzard that hit the cape and especially Nova Scotia around 3/20/14?

Ya that was a beast..clipped the Cape..but warning for outer Cape iirc

Would be nice to get something akin to that to end the month/Winter

got home last night and the pack was standing strong with about 99% coverage. woke up this AM and the pack took a beating overnight, sunny front yard is >50% gone, shady side 100% covered, but sunny parts of back yard are going quick, about 75% coverage there. wrap it up.

I remember that as the cold that was gripping the continent E of 110 W wrapped up into that whole trough and exited along with it. Cold was over and the storms were done.

If that's what it takes, ...let's do it !

I said the overall pattern looks crappy for snow. I’m not going to wait all month and bank on some random fluke in a sea of crap patterns. Good luck if you are.  Next week was our best shot and it went to crap. I’m sure some bear den will pull 4” in early April. Wheee.

So silly. Who’s waiting?  We’re discussing. Guess ya can’t do that here anymore.  We got you…you say it’s done. Noted.

You can discuss, but I’m trying to use meteorological reasoning as to why it looks done vs just saying we don’t know because there is a 2% chance that something could happen. I’m not talking about an inch or slop either.

Well we are using meteorological reasoning too.  Cold nearby, active storm track, a well timed SW…that isn’t meteorological reasoning?   Sure, next week shit the bed…doesn’t mean there won’t be a shot after the 17 or 18th.  Yes, An inch of slop won’t count.   But 2-4” isn’t an inch of slop if it played out.

Cold retreats and anything active cuts. That’s the issue. Later in the month gradient shifts north. If I was lakes region north I’d be more interested.

If we had blocking or better west coast ridging I’d be a lot more intrigued. It’s just this zonal meh look. You’d really have to time something so perfectly.

What are you taking about? LOL. Thank you for saying 2-4” isn’t an inch of slop. I was confused.

I said that because next thing you’ll say that you’re not talking 2-4” either …so I wanted  to get that out there… If tomorrow ends up more than an inch of slop.

If it’s over 2” I’ll entertain. Other than that it’s crap that melts away in an hour.  Doesn't move the needle for me.
