I didn't start it but I will not do it anymore ...is there one on here to talk about it anywhere on American weather?

We ditched the politics forum a year ago. I’m not sure where they are now…I think there may be a discord.

Yes. It's way past time to do away with this crap! However... I'd prefer we stay at daylight savings time, I like the light at 9pm in the summer

the problem is that standard time is better in some areas (western edge of time zone) whereas Daylight time is better to the east.    There's a new bill to split the diff and turn them ahead 30 minutes and leave it locked but doubt we see that either.

Yeah... can't please everyone.

My parents live in Kalamazoo Mi, which is about as far W as one can go in the E time zone.  By the time the sun sets, and then crawls along the horizon the way it does in summer ..they're like 10:15 at night when the highest trees still have a slight orange roman sun on them.  Meanwhile, by 9:20 here we're done and gone.   At the other end of the day... we're getting light at 4:50 am, yet they're still steeped in inky black.

I don't personally need daylight waking me up at 5am at any time of the year... though some people do and it helps them for their life styles and requirements.    Then there's school and children considerations... but that seems to be less and less logistical because this complicating world no longer one-sizes all kids required times and herds.

There's just no way to suit everybody.  It gets light here at 7am in the winter, but it's 8 there... At least they have at least some daylight left at 5 in the winter, though.

Unfortunately, over the last several years I sort of gotten away from writing down every event. If you need numbers, I’ll take a look back and come up with what I think looks correct.

I’ve sadly gotten bad with that too. Every tenth is documented on here…I just need to sit down one day and piece it together.

I don't know if it's just the Euro being like the GFS in early March where it does a seasonal roll-back beyond D7 .. 10, but that extended may as well be Feb 2nd

It’s a pretty impressive PV look on the EPS. This is the 11-15 mean 5-day pattern…a clear potent WPO reload pushing that PV southward. It’s why I think we’ll have one last round of chances in the second half of the month. That’s an awful lot of still-fresh arctic air close by to tap into.
