It sucks-no lie. I was in Boston last weekend and I definitely thought that one would edge north at the end because I wasn’t home.

One of the reasons I hate taking trips in the winter is for fear of missing something with this potential. Yet I'm gone this March 3-10 in Florida. I've been checking the weather for those dates here for the past week.

Was 87 in Miami today. Will be 65 on Monday. I come back Wednesday

We can be a two man therapy group. Part of the whole evolution of this was the cold front and winds happening here so I guess in some way I’m taking part in it lol.

I’ll report from Miami beach where wind chills are supposed to be in the 30s Monday night

I missed Feb 2003 in Boston when we went on a stupid long weekend getaway to Quebec. We had Boston news on the hotel TV so I could watch the coverage while we sat under moonlit skies and the coldest temps I’ve ever experienced (-20). I liked to think I experienced the cold HP that made it all possible.

It was planned for a while and worked out with cheap hotels/flights weekend after Mardi Gras.

I'm also in Florida between those same dates so we're definitely gonna miss something

i dont think he recovered from the snowstorm that never happened..

Forecasts from TWC and models predicted a massive “Godzilla” or “Roidzilla” event, with 15-24 inches of snow possible from Washington, D.C., to southern New England, leading to school closures and panic buying.

The system was expected as a multi-day Miller B setup along I-95, compared to historic storms like January 1996 and the 1888 Blizzard.

The Bust
Instead, the storm underperformed dramatically: only about 1 inch on March 5 in many areas south of NYC, with 3-7 inches elsewhere, and heavier snow (up to Godzilla levels) shifting north/east of forecasts, like eastern Long Island.

Does anyone remember Tex Antoine from ABC? One of the first weather guys to explain some meteorology, with a little personality.
At the time, most weather was simply presented as a forecast.
He was drunk on air one evening, said something distasteful, and was summarily fired.
