Let's do a quick model performance review of the 12Z clown maps snowfall thus. I can't speak for everyone, but all models were busting low relative to what we have here in Brick, NJ. Demonstrates that even the mesoscales are struggling with the dynamics.

Great post, here in Nassau were 100% outdoing what the 12z models were showing. I would say the closest is the Nam 3k

What's going on with the subsidence over N NJ? Is it expected to continue/keep growing or dissipate?

The bands are incoming slowly. We are getting wrecked up here in the bx in a band within a band but when that li weenie band lifts in to nyc you'll get it too.

Luck of the draw but I'm in JC and its still dumping here so IDK how bad that subsidence zone really is.

It happens. I'm in the subsidence zone right now. Funny thing is that the HRRR has quite a lull next couple hours before it really ramps things up.

Subjectively speaking, these are much more well formed dendrites than during the January storm.  It is occasionally windy; one gust was enough to blow snow from the ground (not just from the trees and roofs).

Still 30/29 S+

No warm layer this time to ruin the snow growth.

Long time lurker. Out on Long Island. Posted one other time when we had the storm is 2016, got 3 feet. Just feels awesome to get a storm and not have to worry about a change over or anything like that. Been reading all week and to see this all come to fruition has been awesome!! Thanks to all who contribute to the posts and relay all the info. Enjoy everyone!!

I'm in it. Southern Bergen Co. Been straddling both sides of moderate for the past 40 minutes or so.. It's picked up a little over the past few minutes though.
