It's been back and forth a lot with this. But of course a further east track is definitely possible

Euro AI did drop qpf a bit. Per NE forum it seems to be average of 18z and 12z. CPK went from 1.3 to 1.1 so nothing too drastic.

define "good". At 500 mb it is almost in an identical location as GFS at hr 72.

I would not weigh QPF output on the AI models heavily.

Someone posted that the EURO AI was "east". I just checked it right up against its placement on the 18Z run it's nearly identical.

There's usually the tick back east at the end with these. Not sure if this is the "end" yet but no reason to freak with the model that had to play catch up with the GFS.

Euro is 75 miles west of its AI brother and 100 miles west of the other guidance. On its own. I'd be more worried if it was the AI on its own.

It’s still showing 10-12” for LI. But I’m with you, unless it’s a biggie over 12” I’m ready for spring

Drop the extreme outliers on both ends (GFS and Euro) and we still have a great storm on the way with a floor of around a foot for the immediate metro.

I was honestly thinking about this today. Every model run trends worse. For at least the last 10 years. But not this one. I hope I didnt jinxed it

I just saw the Euro. WOW, only 4 inches for our area. Yet the American models are close to 2 feet. Insane difference. I do think the Euro is way off with this solution, but it isn't a slam dunk yet that we're seeing a monster event.

I think this is just a sign that the westerly trend is over and the models will correct back to around where the GFS is. Remember all models trended towards the GFS yesterday 80% models had nothing. We will see by tomorrow but I honestly still think the euro is the most overrated model there is, icon may be better at this point! We'll see but to me it just looks like the west trend is over and they'll just wobble back and forth between GFS and maybe Euro AI solution!

This entire suite stood pat or even trended a little further west. Only Exception was euro OP.
