GSP NWS thinks someone in a triangle from GSP to CLT to COLA is gonna get hammered!!!

Coming down steady in Taylors!

There are already 3 inches on the ground here in Steele Creek part of Charlotte. I'm near (less than an mile from) the CLT Airport. We're getting the heaviest band and it's white out conditions outdoors here inside of the I-485 beltway. It's likely the spot to see over 8" to up to 10" in my area.

WCNC (off Billy Graham Parkway) & the CLT Airport have both confirmed 3 inches of snow on the ground.

You are 5 miles from me- I am just over SC line- same deal here....we are closer to 4" after the last band....house is on top of a giant hill- 35-40 mph gusts a minute ago

I assume that's sarcasm?  Pouring snow here.

I wish, lol. I’m inside the perimeter right next to I-75 and sun is out. We had a burst of flurries/light snow for about 30 mins around 9:15-9:45 but nothing really since. No accumulation yet

Airport web cam confirms it...these cases the downslope flow is fighting with the precip....I still think that period from 12-2 is when most accumulation is likely to happen.

Transitioned to light snow from flurries. Raleigh- north hills area

Really hoping things work out at least to some degree up that way for y'all. Just moved to Belmont a few months ago from Durham, and now surprised I'm better off here than there re snow (nowadays, at least, since this area has missed out a lot over the past 10 years).
