We really haven't gotten many mixed events this year.  It's either been AllSnow or all rain since Turkey day.

Getting 8" of snow and then a quarter inch of rain with a big freeze after used to be very common.

Another good run is coming. They’ve started shelving off the top tops of the snow piles on the side of the road preparing to put more fresh snow on top of it. I’m just hoping to beat my personal all-time snow depth of 34 inches.

Yeah they did that here too before the last event…pushed it back like 3ft and then buried my mailbox in cement.

I can relate lol.  Nothing like the piles on the side of the road when I moved up here in late March 2008 though.

what did you end up getting the other day for snow? A friend of mine lives in marlow and got 10". Alex up in BW got 12", mostly from upslope. Seems like NH in general did much better then ME with the exception of eastern maine

Ha yeah. It’s been all downhill from there. It’s going to take a lot to get back up to the 43” depth I had…there was a ton of water in that pack to support it. Around 20” right now and there’s still room to compact.

Constant barrage of systems that year. Not so much this year. Just cold.

Wedged cold rains when it didn’t snow either. I had 13” SWE by March. It looked like a glacier on Rainier.

I measured the next morning around 7 AM and had 6 inches. So I’m assuming with settling it was probably 6 1/2. And then another inch in the squall later that day.

i wish they would bury mine, instead they keep hitting it. Twice so far this winter, now it will need to be replaced in the spring. fuckers.

might be tough to get that, you will have some melting/compaction the next 5 days or so. last I measured, mine was up to 20", but that was right after the 6" the other night

Interesting that your pack is ~34". What's your seasonal so far? Back in 2016-2017 we ended with 132" that season. Deepest depth was 38" at our house. This year we're at 56" and maybe 12-15" pack in the woods. This has been an exceptional season for retention, unlike other yrs.

The 34 inch pack was from 2011. The biggest I’ve measured this year is 25 inches just after the last storm.
