Does anybody have any good tools to try to see where the low pressure is trying to set up off the coast? I’m talking about something live or updates every hour. I’ve been tracking this for a week so I figure I’d need something to do tonight besides looking at the radar.

Yep...

I think my dog could take a guess at the snow chances and probably do just as good at this system

This has been HORRIFIC. Worst modeling in quite some time, even up to lead time. To top it my forecast went from 4-8 down to 1-3 and honestly that's if we even get lucky at this point. Super frustrating to track and then have it unfold in this manner.

What’s the timing look like for this thing?

In Florence it keeps going back and forth. First it says some mix and then snow overnight, then saying nothing starts until later in the afternoon tomorrow, etc. etc.

have you ever been to Fayetteville? Its a dirty military base town that unless you are in the military or work around the military its a no-go zone.

How can anybody not be happy with that map? Almost ridiculous that the lowest total in North Carolina is 6.2.

18Z GFS

Think RoCo on the border above Guilford/ Greensboro is showing 3-4 for most of the county. There have been many times the dreaded zone has been seen here. We’ve also scored many times but the busts sting.

By and large, we are conditioned to avoid Fayetteville if at all possible

I use to hitchhike in the 70s-fairly long distances

Inevitably a Vet would pick me -Get to talking about me being from  NC

"Ohhhh-yea I spent some time there before going to Vietnam.. you know where

Old information.  Fayetteville will probably never get over some of it's past reputation, but it is nothing like it used to be.

Proud to say I saw Bob Dylan in Fayetteville in 2024. Crown Theatre. Beautiful venue.  Good luck everyone.  Been a fun week.

Since there’s like no one from GA in here and our GA folks get no love, I’ll make sure to keep y’all posted in intensity and inches, since it will hit here early morning and end by early afternoon. I’ll let you know how it’s going and try and get some pics and videos. Enjoy y’all! I’m still calling for 2-4” in MBY but 4-5” is not out of the question either, as radars are putting heavy banding right over MBY.

.

can you update your location? i'm not familiar with grand rapids, georgia?

There are quite a few people from GA in here - a lot of us just don’t talk much until something happens lol

Someone had posted this wind field map showing circulations off the coast. I'll leave it to other to indicate if it's useful to see where development may be occurring. I suspect it a snapshot-in-time as opposed to a prediction of how it will move.

Currently, it looks like it’s off the coast of Charleston to me? Most of us east of 95 needed it closer to the coast, correct?
