The warm air will advance during any lull. We want that to fill in before it gets here.

I’m guessing it’ll slow down for a bit before racing up again.

Yeah - we will see it slow down, but it really depends on the precip enhancement with the coastal. Gun to head estimate is that it makes it to mid-Westchester with a battle between IP/SN after 2 PM for Manhattan to Tuckahoe.

Parts of bucks county are going back and forth so during heavier rates it will probably be a mix or flip back and forth. At least i hope

MANDA
That sleet line is advancing folks....it was expected and if anything, it is ahead of schedule. My thought was always to at least route 80 and the NJ/NY border and even a little north of there was always in play. Enjoy what we have it is beautiful out there. So far rates and ratios have saved the day getting us to the range of most of the reasonable forecasts. Things are pretty much on schedule accumulation wise I think. SnowGoose69
JFK now at 5, EWR 7, NYC had .17 liquid this hour! I think JFK may be undermeasuring a bit, they do often times in windy events.

Jt17
to Freehold / Princeton mixing with sleet. Gotta be specific imo with I-95 and the orientation of the snow sleet line. The sleet line is approaching from the southwest not west to east .

SACRUS
12/ 8 mostly snow here w/ some IP about 7.5 on the ground on 0.38 LE. Seems like 0.75 - 1.00 more to go which might be primarily sleet here so a total of 8 - 10/11 of accumulation and by that point concrete
