Where is the high pressure orientation … if it is sliding off quicker or is weaker that may atone. 

But N of the LI Sound it is so cold that this system isn’t going to be able to transition before the end of the WAA phase aloft … either way. It’s a matter of concern for the Jersey crowd

That being said, you do have your two week travel period set during the middle of what is usually the best period climo-wise for good storms in RI.  Mid-January to Mid-February is when things tend to click the most for us in RI if you look at storm records.  I'm guessing your two week period of travel can't be adjusted, but you would have less of a chance missing out on our storms in SE NE if you moved that winter travel period a little.

Dude. You live in New England. Even if you miss a storm, you’ll see another one next year or in a few years at the most. This isn’t Virginia.

I wrestled with 12-18 and just denoting isolated 20 spots but at the very end just put the ceiling explicitly into the forecast and wrote out why. Hopefully, we get Monday to produce and some spots can reach the ceiling, but if not, most likely fall back into the lower to middle end of the range barring some disaster. **knocks wood**
