Spanks45
In PA, but checked the temp at home, expecting the worst, but oddly enough it is only 32.2⁰..cold air holding strong in our valley. That will dissappear quickly once the winds pick up....every minute helps with the snow pack...lol

dendrite
Definitely some sag to the pines and birches, but it’s a run of the mill icing event. I’m actually surprised how early the accretion shut off even way up into NNE. We’re still in a drought so hopefully it keeps pouring. 1

tavwtby
Winchester center reading 37, but my station has been at 30 all morning, either I need a new station or cold has locked in this little area, win center is up above 1100' if I'm not mistaken, I'll tell you what, it's a sheet of ice everywhere from deck to driveway, nearly bought it letting out the chickens

weatherwiz
10 hours ago, FXWX said: Absolutely no need for those conditions... Terrible DPW management! It's so bad here. Back in 2021 a few months after my girlfriend and I started dating, she told me how bad it was here with the plows on the road and I didn't believe it lol. Then during the 2021-2022 winter she ended up in the hospital for a bit and we got a winter storm...think it was just shy of 7". They didn't even plow the road until several hours after the storm was done. And because its one of the last roads to get touched, everything is caked down because of cars traveling. The driveway is a skating rink and the birches are nearing the ground, there’s not much radial ice. Wintry scene though.

Just over 8K within New Hampshire During the ice storm of 1998 the power lines were on the ground between poles, but not broken along the access road to Sugarloaf. Never seen anything like that. We had a mixture of sleet and freezing rain. About 6" of sleet one the lower 2/3 of Sugarloaf. Never lost power. But Sugarloaf was closed.
