Bryan63
This morning was a nice win. Was expecting maybe some light flurries at best, but everything from the roads to driveway even with salt down has a nice coating on it.

That's the only one i could find on the NESIS site and its the only one i mapped out on our site for the 1980s. Anything else that was widespread 12"+ snowfall in the 80s?

Anything else that was widespread 12"+ snowfall in the 80s? There was a solid 6-12” storm in November of 89 I believe . I remember distinctly being in high school . There was a follow up storm that was forecast to be more heavy snow and ended being zr to heavy rain and when we woke up the next morning, the snow was completely wiped out . I’m bad on specific years . There was also a Veterans Day snowfall in the late 80’s

dendrite
Apr 82 was a biggun for many ”Region wide” usually becomes subjective though. Your Feb 83 was barely warning criteria up here. We had more from the event a few days prior. Mar 84 had a couple of biggies…one that pounded up here and a late month one that crushed ORH. Apr 87 was good for many. We had a couple of good ones up here in early 88 as well.

Anything else that was widespread 12"+ snowfall in the 80s? Dec 5-7, 1981 was a big storm for eastern MA and RI. March 29, 1984 was big over interior SNE. A couple storms in Jan 1987 were quite good over interior as well…I believe both are in the Kocin book (Jan 22, 1987 and Jan 1-2, 1987 as a near-miss). Also don’t forget April 1982.
